Disney’s Ariel, Prince Eric greet guests in new Magic Kingdom location

The Little Mermaid has settled into a new home for greeting guests at the Magic Kingdom. She and Prince Eric can be found at the Veranda, which is immediately to the right when visitors cross the Adventureland bridge.

Ariel’s Grotto in Fantasyland closed in April to make way for construction.

Although guests don’t get the same themed experience at the temporary location, they do get a couple of special perks. It’s unusual to find Prince Eric greeting guests in the parks — he mostly is seen in parades or shows. Plus, Ariel is in human form in her beautiful ball gown. The only other place to have photos taken with her dressed this way is at Epcot’s Princess Storybook Dining in Norway.

Ariel and Prince Eric meet guests at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. daily. A cast member recommends getting in line at least 10 minutes before the set begins because they do limit the queue and the royal pair is popular.
